I didn't have any great expectations of this, but for under $5, I thought, why not? it's proved much better than I ever expected. The wings and tail are made from extremely light depron, about 3mm thick in the wings and 1.5mm in the tail. It's worth knowing that this material can be restored if it gets a dent or bend in it by pouring near-boiling water over the damaged part. The wings and tail are held on with the supplied double sided tape pieces, which in the case of the wing produce a camber that probably helps the plane fly so well. Small plastic pieces attached with double sided tape produce the dihedral on the outer wing panels, and it's worth examining them closely before attempting to stick them to see exactly how they fit. The instructions are mainly in pictorial form, and if you follow them closely, do a trial fit to make sure you understand before sticking anything, you will find it easy to assemble. The pictures on the Web page also help. The finished plane weighs only 28g, which for a biplane with a 600mm wing span is not bad at all. It is claimed that it can fly for up to 60 seconds, but the best I have done so far is just over 20 seconds. I don't doubt a person skilled with rubber powered planes (which I'm not!) could achieve the minute though. I have flown it in calm conditions and in a light wind. It's not for windy days. It would be a great parent/child fun project. I'm seriously considering attempting an RC conversion on it. The rubber motor and prop weigh over 10g, so using the Banggood product SKU141360 for radio, ESC and servos, with a small brushed motor and prop, and a 100mAh single cell lipo, I think it would be possible to build a 3 channel model and still keep the weight down to no more than the rubber powered version.

This is a great little flier, and at an amazing price. It flies well and it's easy to assembly and modify should you choose to, so it's very good for beginners. If you're flying in a grassy area it's possible to get noticeably better flight time and distance by removing the landing gear, though you have to adjust the distance between the wings and the rotor to get a balanced flight. The double-sided tape is very strong and once it touches the wings it's impossible to remove it, so special care is necessary to get it right the first time. When assembling the tail I suggest you use a ruler and pencil to make sure the vertical stabilizer is exactly in the middle of the horizontal stabilizer and aligned with the fuselage. I also think it worthwhile to glue together the two plastic parts where you attach the wings in the middle, as it makes for a sturdier plane in a bad landing. Some types of glue eat through styrofoam as if they're acid, so be careful not to get any on the wings!!
